Clinical Support
The LA COOP currently connects a rapidly growing network of providers to charter schools, promotes high standards of compliance and clinical practice, and supports schools in creating meaningful contracts that ensure best practice-based service delivery and collegial teaming among providers and school staff.
Federal and Louisiana State laws mandate the provision of a range of related services, including transportation and “such developmental, corrective, and other supportive services as are required to assist a child with a disability to benefit from special education.” The LA COOP currently connects a rapidly growing network of providers to charter schools, promotes high standards of compliance and clinical practice, and supports schools in creating meaningful contracts that ensure best practice-based service delivery and collegial teaming among providers and school staff. The LA COOP, in collaboration with the RSD and OPSB, is expanding its current clinical services component to make available more comprehensive support to charter and traditional public schools across New Orleans.
The purpose of an expanded Clinical Services Division is to offer the following:
Support for Schools
Support for Providers
Partnerships with Community Agencies and Organizations
